Cindy and Alison agreed that questions about routines are helpful, but understanding what families know about their children's everyday interests is equally, if not more, valuable. Asking children about their interests is also important but can be trickier. What questions might you ask young children about their interests that don't lead them toward an answer? What questions have you asked families that drew out this sort of information about their children? Add your ideas in the comments!
